  • almost everyone possesses a decent camera, or at the very least, a smartphone. however, there exists a significant difference that sets professionals apart.

when words fall short in conveying your story, a professional photographer can skillfully compose a breathtaking image, infused with intention, balance, and artistic design.

when faced with challenging conditions, a professional possesses the technical expertise, speed, and precision to manipulate lighting and timing in their compositions.

to create an exceptional photograph, a professional photographer understands the ideal locations for captivating backgrounds and the most flattering times of the day to capture them in their best light. they possess a profound understanding of intricate camera functions, exposure settings, and the optimal utilization of camera accessories and off-camera lighting. furthermore, in those fleeting moments when the lighting is just perfect and the expression or pose is flawlessly angled, a professional must have a keen eye for composition and quick reflexes to seize the shot. they also enhance their photographs using professional photo editing software that takes months to learn.

  • to book your session, i usually require a 50% non-refundable date reservation fee, and the balance is due on or after your final image delivery date.

If this payment schedule does not work for your budget or company policies, please let me know. I'm sure we can work out a custom payment schedule that suits your needs.

  • when a booked session is cancelled due to a client changing their mind, it is important to consider the significant amount of time and effort invested in preparing for the expectant photo session. additionally, it is often difficult for me to schedule another session for the same date and time. upon booking a session, I reserve that specific date and time slot, sometimes even blocking off the entire day exclusively for the client. therefore, a cancellation results in a substantial loss of income.

if you need to postpone or reschedule your session, i kindly request that you inform me as soon as possible so that we can make alternative arrangements. in many cases, we can find a solution without requiring an additional reservation fee for a new date.

please note that weather-related cancellations are an exception due to the unpredictable nature of outdoor conditions. if your session is scheduled outdoors and we need to postpone due to unfavorable weather, i will coordinate a new date for your session, and the reservation fee you have already paid will be transferred to the rescheduled date.

  • sometimes the travel fees are factored into the flat rate photo service, and in that case it's usually travel within 30 minutes.

For lengthier travel, expect an hourly rate for travel.

  • occasionally, photo session timelines may be approximate. In the event that we are nearing the end of your contracted time and it seems unlikely that we will be able to conclude the session within that timeframe, we will have a discussion. toward the end of your contracted time, I will inquire whether you would like to extend the session. If you decide to continue, i will bill you at our hourly rate as specified in your contract, rounded to the nearest 30-minute increment.

  • currently, all sessions are conducted on location. i am equipped with a portable pop-up studio that allows me to travel to your desired location or meet at a mutually agreed upon venue. in case your chosen venue does not meet our photography requirements, we can explore the option of renting a studio space. this can be seen as an add on fee in your booking.

  • the timeline for delivering the proofing gallery varies depending on the type of photography and the workload at hand. typically, I advise clients to anticipate receiving their photographs within approximately two weeks after the photo session. the proofing galleries will be shared with you through the pixieset platform.

  • the raw, unedited files are not available for viewing or purchase. please trust that any excluded photographs are culled purposefully because they are either misfires, technical glitches, poor expressions, or unnecessary duplicates.

  • in many photography contracts, you will find a "copyright release" or "full usage permissions" clause, which grants you the rights to use the images within the defined terms of that release or usage. however, it is important to note that owning the copyright is different from having usage permissions. as the creator of the photographs, i retain the copyright, similar to how a musician owns their original song or an artist owns the rights to their painting. this means that my work is protected by copyright law.

please understand that purchasing or obtaining "the copyright" is not a standard option included in my contracts, packages, or services.

  • i always shoot in the largest RAW available but, i deliver .jpg (JPEG) files, as they are ready to use for just about any need in print or online.

  • i appreciate when clients plan ahead and provide a shot list/mood board. it allows us to establish specific objectives that determine the duration of the photo session, the desired number of images, posing and the most suitable people, props, and locations for your shoot.
